EYFS visit to Chester Zoo

EYFS had a fantastic time on their trip to Chester Zoo this week!
Throughout the school year, the children have been learning about animals, habitats and life cycles. This was a perfect, interactive way to bring the learning to life and for the children to recall and apply their knowledge about how animals live, grow and adapt to their habitats.
They started the day with an exciting workshop all about the different habitats tigers live in. The children travelled on a ‘plane’ to the rainforest, camped overnight, journeyed through the grasslands and even climbed to the top if the highest mountain! After all their adventures, they were thrilled to see a real tiger enjoying his snack.
In the afternoon, the children explored the zoo and spotted lots of amazing animals. It was wonderful to hear them remembering and sharing all the fascinating facts they have been learning in literacy. Everyone had a fantastic day and represented the school brilliantly!
This was their first ever trip and we’re so proud of their wonderful enthusiasm for learning and the excellent behaviour they demonstrated.
A huge thank you to all the parents and volunteers who supported on the school trip.
