To kickstart National Careers Week and their focus on Politics, Year 5 were very lucky to participate in a Learn with the Lords online session with Lord Haney. They learnt all about the House of Lords and had the opportunity to him ask lots of questions about his life and responsibilities as a Lord.

Class 17 later took part in a class debate to answer the question 'Should the summer holidays be made shorter?', as you can imagine there were lot of opinions on this matter! The children had to work collaboratively and be open- minded ready to prepare their arguments for discussion and they really enjoyed debating the issue.
